this is where i stand: the world. we cross limits and frontiers by sharing our thoughts and knowledge in every different cultural setting. we are all citizens of the globe and are entitled to catch up with it. with progress comes evolution, and this change inevitably creates new experiences as old ones are substituted. we are in an eternal race trying to catch up with the world, its civilizations, its people, and its natural wonders.
happy birthday christina!

i often hear people share their terrible flying experiences, or how they dread it or even fear it. well, to be honest, tsa isn’t really helping either. however, you do have to go back and think for a second. you are flying, you look out the window and you see birds, clouds, cars, cities, lights from a whole new perspective. the cherry on the top: you even magically land in a different place where you get new insights and experiences. this photo shows a setting sunrise midflight in the pacific between asia and america, all this, through the luxury of having windows in the air.

i believe every little detail in life leads back to personal values. this photo is a good example of how honesty and truth becomes one of the most fundamental values. it does not matter how much make up you put on, you will eventually need to take it off. these bricks i found in st. thomas usvi, exposed and abandoned to the sun and humidity – december 2008.

i recently heard a quote that mentioned how ‘we are all so important, which makes us unimportant’. i find it so true, and reflect it upon our differences as human beings, how we all have our own rights and wrongs. we all have some special feautres, physically and spiritually.

there’s a little park in hong kong, it’s a bird park. there are litterally hundreds and thousands of birds. they sell them show them off or just take them there to compliment the environment. it is quite an impressive thing to hear them all and see their owner’s reactions. i got yelled at more than once for taking photos here.

i recently read that squirrels are incredibly intelligent. the huge three-dimensional world they live in requires them to have a remarkable spatial memory. their mental map stores the location of ten thousand different nuts that they hide to feed themselves throughout the year. their brain is also capable of growing when needed, in order to adapt to more information storage demand. truely interesting and not related to this cocunut loving thai squirrel. december 2004

there is something about airports, airplanes, takeoffs and landings that i enjoy so much. this waking feeling filled with emotions looking out windows, or sitting in boarding gates, and even waiting for baggages to come out. it’s like everytime or anywhere you are you just learn so much from the location and the different people from around the world. this photo was taken christmas day in tokyo/narita airport 2006, and as you can see, it was rainy and freezing.

one of the most beautiful skylines in the world. hong kong is definitely a place to admire. at least from my perspective, i have always seen hong kong a step ahead: in anything you can think of, from infrastructure to structures, and from healthcare to technology. i have always found this progressive building landscape unique, elegant and stylish at the same time, not to mention the sunsets which fit them very well. this photo was taken summer 2007.
