quite fascinating is the view from the seattle space needle. to think that this structure was only meant to be temporary, i remain thankful that it still stands. allowing me to see it from postcards and other photos is one thing, yet having been able to stand on its deck, admiring a beautiful sunset alongside the urban core of seattle and its remarkably breathtaking surroundings is simply memorable.
happy birthday beto!

at this point it is almost ridiculous and freakishly strange how strange natural phenomenons are acting on us. i am not superstitious or anything, and am certainly not imposing any of that 2012 stuff (whish has been so popular lately). i am simply cold, in this spring that should be blooming in clear skies and sunshine. as nice as the day was though, with blue skies, and flowers crowdedly blooming on trees, the cold managed to seep through my socks, perforating my skin into a sharp cold feeling. miss the tropics. beaches.

i thought spring was kicking in.. or so we were told. yet winter didn’t give up and blessed us with a last feeling of snow, all day long today. as nice as it was, i couldn’t help but think of the warm caribbean waters and its warm breezes. this including visual pleasure with a bit of a confusion between the gold, blue, and green sea waters and the multiplied sunrays in my face diminishing by the second. a paradox, where the nice warm days come to an end as well, just as the nice cold days meets up with these on the ‘other sides’ of the world.

even though the colors of fall have been long gone from the vecinities of the greater seattle area, some of this can still be seen several degrees latitude to the south. i just enjoy reflecting to these and as the year winds down i like to see it as an opportunity to shake down the old vibes and take a new breath for new energies.

there is so much going on in this photo that randomly says so much about costa rica. this relaxing feeling of the beach, with an amazing effect of the clouds from the sun setting, and the motorcycle rider, probably heading home from work. i might be wrong though, but still: personal interpretation i guess..

transoceanic flights often allow you to experience a sunrise and a sunset with the most incredible views above of the clouds. this particular photo shows the sun setting in the south-east asian pacific ocean form taiwan towards hawaii.

it was mid summer in the outsides of lijiang, as i explored the gardens of a monastery. along the path i walked was a dried up river where water barely moved from little bodies to the next. going down the hill i found myself in the bottle neck where some people gathered to enjoy of this element in it’s most “natural” form. the moment where they ducked to touch the water reflected into a stopped motion where hands were just dug into a stream of gold.
happy birthday denise.

another small milestone to this micro-site/ project of mine. half a year now. i have intentionally placed this photo as an image to look back upon with a reflection of a sunset. however, it just made me realize how we shouldn’t reflect just because of special moments but because we should be more aware. always think back, and think forward. think.

a truly inspiring natural monument gifted to all the seatelites and nearby residents. breathtaking: the moment i came out to the outer deck of the seattle space needle, facing directly towards the pacific sunset. as i went around the deck i almost felt as if the purpose of the direct lighting was not only meant for the city but the monumental rock mt. rainier.
