closely observing this fallen branch, i thought to myself about how the wooden shell starts to dry out and fall out. just like our skin changes, it is happening as our earth turns and our hearts beat without us knowing but just taking it for granted. i just wondered when these properties would be lost or even removed physically from this public park.

ah, savannah at night. personally, one of the most relaxing places i could be right now. to some, it can be a little creepy to go to forsyth, or any park in general to just sit back and enjoy the night. as for myself, i listen to the night, breathe the grass, and feel the moisty southern airs from the atlantic breeze. walk around the fountain, lay down in the grass and submerge into the quick clouds reveling with the stars.

developed within the last hundred years, daylilys vary and sizes, colors, shapes and form. these have been created mostly through hybridization by gardening enthusiasts worldwide, even though they are native to europe, china, japan and korea. it reflects with our human behavior of globalization with change.

its easy to keep telling people to enjoy life. but how come it is so hard for some others to find time to be free and to do something they like for leisure? take a day off, go to the park, lay down, read the paper.. or anything else. just have to produce this mental “ahh….”

i had always been sure of how greed and selfishness is part of our nature. it isn’t necessarily a bad thing though, but just a reality. well, i might be going out of line, but it all depends on how you see things. this world moves on a cycle of ‘giving’, where this tree takes nutrients from the earth to give back, however its strong and wise roots dig deep for more as its branches extend and reach high soaking up the sun from anything underneath. the cycle goes on from trees to plants, humans to insects, and so on.

it is along the mysteries of the night where one is able to wander and explore the secrets of nature and our involvement with it. walking down the midnight streets of savannah, where the low pressure sodium-vapor lamps flood the environment with its bright yellow rays. even though it dims our lunar lit skies with its pressence, we are able to mix these colors to observe a contrast in our daily scenery.

seen as disgusting by others, yet remarkably interesting depending on types and situations. in this context, i was just amazed at how many flies there were around these simple white flowers. usually, they flee as one approaches but somehow, these liked to pose.

once a very wise architecture professor told a class i was attending “everything that is built to move, will eventually stop moving”. i felt enlightened for some reason. maybe it was a little late for me or i had just never really put thought into that. but this moment just lead me to think a lot about progress and the process in which everything is created and destroyed, directly and indirectly. and the only dictionary where you can decipher this: time.

these concrete pieces used to be part of some picnic tables in a relatively recent park inside a small residential area.
