impact. when does it start? when does it finish? with water, its a bit harder to say. with waterfalls, you know that seasonally or somehow, sometime, water started to fall, and depending on the flow, mist rises and possitively and negatively (naturally) affects the surrounding environment.

110809considered to be a weed by many “specialists”, dandelions have simply been forgotten for its benefits. by our generation it is simply seen as the interesting flower that turns into a “cotton” ball where the pappus (parachutes) fly up and away with the wind. even though they manage to spread and grow in peculiar places, these can benefit soil to fertilize it in various ways. something else forgotten is its use in medicinal and gastronomical purposes.

100909up at the peak(hong kong’s most visited attraction, one can see an amazing view of the increidble skyscrapers and hong kong scenery/ panorama from one of hong kong’s tallest points. what i think sometimes is that people get carried away with the view they are given, and do not appreaciate the rest there is to offer, like this amazing path there is (in the photo) where you walk around the area and can even descend down to the city by foot (it’s actually a relatively short walk).

san josesan jose doesn’t change much. throughout my lifetime, i have counted the few buildings that rise from the low density urban cluster. my opinion about this is that there is no urban planning at all, and yes, many would agree. these clusters have been overdeveloped while some buildings are vaguely rise here and there under very innappropriate infrastructure. the one building to the right is the costarican electricity company (i.c.e.) and the one on the left is the corobici hotel (recently bought over by the crown plaza). this view is responsible of welcoming visitors upon their arrival from the airport.

waterfallanother of those countless (amazing) landscapes of iceland. i really appreciate the salmon steps on the left side of the waterfall. i enjoy staring at the still “captured” waterfall falling falls of rushing heavy currents broken by rocks and wind, yet knowing that some people in society allow little details of nature to carry on with a human touch: in this case, aiding salmon to head back to the top of the rivers.

front_gatesausalito is a very pleasant artistic city and residential area, not to mention a very popular tourist attraction within the bay area. just like most of the southwestern ‘american’ coast, this land roots way back into the mexican soils. given its strategic location, it has always been a major transit center, involving alcohol contraband during prohibition and warship building in world war two. however, nowadays all there is left is peace and quiet.

skogarfoss_overalliceland is blessed with millions of breathtaking landscapes. the beautiful combination of its geographical features, sharp colors and majestic play of light create a natural ying yang of so many different factors alltogether.
in this photo, the clouds create an incredible light effect which makes the foreground appear to be “photoshopped” on the background.

guayaboswelcome to the jungle. or welcome to monumento nacional arquelogico guayabo here in costa rica. although guayabo is not nearly as breathtaking as mayan or aztec archaeological sites, excavations have unearthed sophisticated infrastructure and mysterious petroglyphs making this the most important archeological site within the country.

st pat's beardsavannah has one of the most popular st. patrick’s day celebrations. to be honest, i don’t even remember what this festivty celebrates, but if there is something i enjoyed about these were the unity and great vibe the city felt. every single person walking down sharing differences within all the shades of green and all the shades of personalities.
