these are more remote areas on the tybee coast. just a few springs ago, i was able to celebrate with my closest college peers together around a small and short fire. at night of course, and i must admit to be guilty of using these destroyed fences as fire wood as well. they were just sticks laying waiting for a destructive college student to light up. was fun indeed at the time.
happy birthday cristy!

at this point it is almost ridiculous and freakishly strange how strange natural phenomenons are acting on us. i am not superstitious or anything, and am certainly not imposing any of that 2012 stuff (whish has been so popular lately). i am simply cold, in this spring that should be blooming in clear skies and sunshine. as nice as the day was though, with blue skies, and flowers crowdedly blooming on trees, the cold managed to seep through my socks, perforating my skin into a sharp cold feeling. miss the tropics. beaches.

there is so much going on in this photo that randomly says so much about costa rica. this relaxing feeling of the beach, with an amazing effect of the clouds from the sun setting, and the motorcycle rider, probably heading home from work. i might be wrong though, but still: personal interpretation i guess..

another small milestone to this micro-site/ project of mine. half a year now. i have intentionally placed this photo as an image to look back upon with a reflection of a sunset. however, it just made me realize how we shouldn’t reflect just because of special moments but because we should be more aware. always think back, and think forward. think.

welcome to the icelandic southern shore. this black beach is known for its sudden large waves, deadly and spontaneous, know to have taken a few people in the water already. this dynamic strip of stones stands between the rough north atlantic and a stone cliff where puffins nest. i recommend you to slow down and visualize the texture and pattern from this rock, multiply it with the reflection of the bright skies and the dramatically textured clouds. don’t forget the orchestral winds, crashing waves and children playing in this composition. smiling is only fair.
this post marks 100.

july twenty fifth is the anniversary of the annexation of the beautiful province of guancaste to costa rica. this national holiday is celebrated with a week long festival filled with performances, parades, bullfights and many other lively activities. the significance of this day, forgotten by many, highlights the power of democracy that costa rica governs. it was in eighteen-twentyfour when the province of guanacaste, (nicaraguan state) asked to annex to costa rica. they provide some of the nicest beaces, and use their slogan: “de la patria por nuestra voluntad” means “part of the country by our own choice”.

looking deep into the horizon of this pacific beachfront, i couldn’t help but think of how fortunate i was to be in such a geographically blassed country. with amazing sunrises and sunsets complimented with the widest varieties of clouds and light effects, evolving to impress everyone more by the second. punta dominical 2006.

i present to you: the marshes of the low country.. these shallow wetlands are usually located between coastal barrier islands and the inner coasts. the water in it varies from sweet water to saline water depending on its location, but either way, it always looks calm and inviting. the ones in the photograph belong to the tybee area on the way from savannah. beautiful sunsets are always complimenting.
