impact. when does it start? when does it finish? with water, its a bit harder to say. with waterfalls, you know that seasonally or somehow, sometime, water started to fall, and depending on the flow, mist rises and possitively and negatively (naturally) affects the surrounding environment.

today is the international day of water. we take water granted, us lucky ones that have access to it anyway. for some others, they pray for rain or dig hopelessly for water. it doesn’t just affect us either, but the environment and the multiple ecosystems all around the world. a cycle we see here in our behaviour towards the natural system and the consquences it has that can affect us.

the equinox. a natural balance that happens twice a year. i’ve always seen these natural occurences in a two-dimensional perspective, where balance is represented by waves. not literally, but just picture the balance and harmony that can be achieved by a wave pattern.

named as the golden falls in icelandic, gullfoss is hidden within the hvítá river canyon. coming from afar, the crevice can be barely noticed, and as one approaches, can feel the mist echoing closer as the particles bounce off each other. it is said that this precious monument was once considered to be used by some investors to generate water hydroelectrically. lucky for us, they failed. we have manage to destroy one less marvel of nature.

i thought spring was kicking in.. or so we were told. yet winter didn’t give up and blessed us with a last feeling of snow, all day long today. as nice as it was, i couldn’t help but think of the warm caribbean waters and its warm breezes. this including visual pleasure with a bit of a confusion between the gold, blue, and green sea waters and the multiplied sunrays in my face diminishing by the second. a paradox, where the nice warm days come to an end as well, just as the nice cold days meets up with these on the ‘other sides’ of the world.

a perfection of the earth’s wrinkles with a few splashes of grees and yellow, some soil here and there with heaps of tiny precious rocks and fine black volcanic sand, a few streams of pure and refreshing water, some incredibly friendly people, some mist and just throw in a pair of rainbows while you’re there too… and voila, we have iceland.

ah, savannah at night. personally, one of the most relaxing places i could be right now. to some, it can be a little creepy to go to forsyth, or any park in general to just sit back and enjoy the night. as for myself, i listen to the night, breathe the grass, and feel the moisty southern airs from the atlantic breeze. walk around the fountain, lay down in the grass and submerge into the quick clouds reveling with the stars.
