just a few months back we were celebrating a new decade. amazing to see how just a few months back has brought us to the end of april or one third of this “new year”. hopefully this brings some joy of appreciation on your achievements so far, but for those of us who are never satisfied, i just can’t help but think deeply of what i have done so far. one thing is for sure, it is always better to look at your life from some other’s perspective, as life is never as good as you want it.

swim in a sea of joy, music and energy; like recharging batteries with the colorful vibes of love, friendship and basic human values of respect and trust and all we need in order to be thankful and appreciate. people and the interaction with different kinds of them reflect on each of us like mirrors though, in which we have to learn the little details we didn’t know or understand about the greatness and differences among ourselves.
happy birthday lorraine, theresa, gabriel, and roberto!

today has been a very gloomy and rainy day here in beijing. reminds me of the time i visited napa valley. fortunately every season and environmental condition can be just as beautiful depending on your mindset. even though it wasn’t as sunny and cheerful as it appears on the brouchures, the company and experience still allowed for great times.

just during last year’s chinese new year’s celebration, i was in the san francisco china town with my best friend. we found ourselves celebrating, enjoying and witnessing a massive congregation of different nationalities and cultures where a majority where from an asian background, but others were just busy learning, enjoying, experiencing and capturing the asian warmth halfway around the globe.
i have always wondered about the behavior of homeless people and the menality it takes for these people to sit all day, begging or in better words, waiting for money to fall from the sky. money from other people’s more fortunate lives, from their hard work. personally i have never donated to these who just sit, where on the other hand i support buskers. what do we think of these homeless members of our society? how can we expect these unfortunate members to contribute?
just randomly missing what i was able to call “home” for a bit. just walking a block out from what i called my shelter, i was able to feel this scenery every morning. the strong and chilly breeze from the bay with the smells of harbour water and the sounds of seagulls and rippling waves were just some of the little magical details of the embarcadero area. pleasant at all times, from midnight to noon to midnight one can always count on this waterfront to release some stress and relax, get some thoughts running and inspire a bit.
