just a few months back we were celebrating a new decade. amazing to see how just a few months back has brought us to the end of april or one third of this “new year”. hopefully this brings some joy of appreciation on your achievements so far, but for those of us who are never satisfied, i just can’t help but think deeply of what i have done so far. one thing is for sure, it is always better to look at your life from some other’s perspective, as life is never as good as you want it.

quite fascinating is the view from the seattle space needle. to think that this structure was only meant to be temporary, i remain thankful that it still stands. allowing me to see it from postcards and other photos is one thing, yet having been able to stand on its deck, admiring a beautiful sunset alongside the urban core of seattle and its remarkably breathtaking surroundings is simply memorable.

these are more remote areas on the tybee coast. just a few springs ago, i was able to celebrate with my closest college peers together around a small and short fire. at night of course, and i must admit to be guilty of using these destroyed fences as fire wood as well. they were just sticks laying waiting for a destructive college student to light up. was fun indeed at the time.

overlooking the intersection of stockton and greene, north beach, san francisco, california. neighborhood of different cultures and witness of numerous crowds and contrasts in environments. people of all backgrounds come to this area to just hang out, meet up, or simply relax in such charming environment. sit, smile, listen to the music, smell the good food, and smile to the ladies.

one of the biggest limitations in architecture is the lack of mobility and versatility in structure and in material; in most buildings that aren’t frozen into icons or into a moment that will forever remain anyway. continuing my negative perception of such wonderful space and visual delight, the loops and curves in this wonderful museum will stay as a circular ramp, in which repetition does not allow variation.

crabs have been my favorite kind of food, seafood, meat, call it whatever you want source of alimentation since i can remember. and in the heavens of pike place and these seafood rich markets such as these in arctic and antarctic and fresh source locations, it is impossible to find yourself drooling in desire. mmmm…

swim in a sea of joy, music and energy; like recharging batteries with the colorful vibes of love, friendship and basic human values of respect and trust and all we need in order to be thankful and appreciate. people and the interaction with different kinds of them reflect on each of us like mirrors though, in which we have to learn the little details we didn’t know or understand about the greatness and differences among ourselves.

today has been a very gloomy and rainy day here in beijing. reminds me of the time i visited napa valley. fortunately every season and environmental condition can be just as beautiful depending on your mindset. even though it wasn’t as sunny and cheerful as it appears on the brouchures, the company and experience still allowed for great times.

as of 2007, there were 13,087 taxis operating in New York City. more than eighty five percent of the drivers are foreign born, excluding second generations. additionally, there are over 40,000 other for-hire vehicles (“black cars”, commuter vans and ambulettes). but it is the “medallion taxis,” the familiar yellow cabs, that are the only vehicles in the city permitted to pick up passengers in response to a street hail. their distinctive yellow paint has made them New York icons, locally and internationally.
