closely observing this fallen branch, i thought to myself about how the wooden shell starts to dry out and fall out. just like our skin changes, it is happening as our earth turns and our hearts beat without us knowing but just taking it for granted. i just wondered when these properties would be lost or even removed physically from this public park.

this pinnate frond shape blends in the bushes of the marlborough sounds within other small plants, trees and ferns. upon looking further into the plant, its shape and name: this half symmetrical and divided leaf carries the typological name of pinnate from its common axis in the structure where these are also mentioned as feather leafs.
