it is always astonishing to think how perfect nature is. the amazing clockwork and cycle of biology that will keep us going for many many years to come. i always find it inspiring to look closely into the cycle of growth and decay, rise and fall, birth and death. to think of how the little time we have to actually think about such details and be thankful for where and what we live. i find a lot of energy in this close-up: the elegance in the “strokes” and its lively green. taken in toronto, july 2008.
