all there was to see from a giant panoramic in the international airport of doha, qatar were a few american army planes, an array of monochromatic houses with matching mosques, and this contrasting icon, a water tower which apparently was painted to promote the asia games of 2006. everything else faded in pale toned desert colors that could barely be noticed. i would like to see doha ten years from now, to observe what the world’s largest natural gas reserve, strong diplomatic relations and such attractive development climate can evolve into.
