another of those countless (amazing) landscapes of iceland. i really appreciate the salmon steps on the left side of the waterfall. i enjoy staring at the still “captured” waterfall falling falls of rushing heavy currents broken by rocks and wind, yet knowing that some people in society allow little details of nature to carry on with a human touch: in this case, aiding salmon to head back to the top of the rivers.

this is the world’s first parliament. located in southwestern iceland, in the area of bláskógarbyggð is Þingvellir, pronounced thingvellir. this national park is of cultural, historical and geological importance, which is why unesco has designated this as a world heritage site.
